What is a Merkle Tree in Bitcoin? And how do you find the Merkle Root?

These two questions were asked by one of the students of the Blockchain and Bitcoin Fundamentals course. In this video I explain what is a Merkle Tree as well as what the Merkle Root are, and why they are so important to preserving the integrity of the Bitcoin blockchain.

As you will see in the lesson, it is possible to create a blockchain without using a Merkle Tree, but in the case of Bitcoin, it is a very important element.
